the Board

On behalf of Hotspurs USA, we would like to welcome back all players, parents and coaches.  Together, we are are working to make East County Soccer exciting, affordable and family friendly again.

Hotspurs USA has introduced a new standard in club soccer.  The word went out that the cost of playing club soccer had grown by outrageous amounts and together we created a progam that made the game family friendly again.

Congratulations to the G15 Red and Coach Dave Achenbach for winning the “Manchester Cup” with a 4-0 win over Pumas in the final.

 

Congratulations to the G13 Red and Coach Steve Lincoln for winning the “Charity Cup” with a 5-0 win in the Final over Bonita.

 

More Charity Cup News!

  • The G14 White made it to the final and lost 2-1 in OT in sudden death.
  • The G11 Red didn't allow a goal in the entire tournament and lost to FCSD at PKs in the semifinal.
  • The B16 Red lost in the semifinal 1-0.

Senior College Signings

Senior College Signings

Four Boys Under-18 Red standouts commit to four year programs!!

Andrew MacKenzie Andrew MacKenzie has received a Congressional Appointment to the class of 2012 and signed a letter of intent to attend the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. The All Grossmont Northsenior at West Hills High is looking forward to becoming a member of theMariner soccer team in the fall. Hereports for soccer training and Boot Camp on July 10th.

Justin Smith has decided to move on to Notre Dame de Namur University. The Granite Hills defender who carries a 3.9 GPA recently signed his letter of intent. He will move up to Belmont in August.

Oceanside High senior Eric Scolman has committed to attend San Francisco State University. The starting goalkeeper for the BU18 Red recently signed his national letter of intent to play for the Gators.

Paloma Valley senior Russell Vernon has committed to play at Humbolt State. The starting center back who carries a 4.5 GPA will join the Jacks in the fall.

Steele Canyon senior, Bethany Rangel has accepted a scholarship offer from the University of Central Arkansas. The GU17 Red player is looking forward to being a Sugar Bear at UCA in fall.

Coach Dan Codina announced that Girls Under-18 players, Rachel Fields and Renda Nazzal have signed as well. Fields (Christian High School) will be attending Vanguard University while Nazzal (El Capitan High School) will continue her soccer and academics at Louis and Clarke (Washington).
